Sexual Assault Facts, Education and Response (SAFER)

Sexual assault is an issue of significant concern on college campuses throughout the United States, including at the College of the Holy Cross.  We are committed to providing useful information and top-quality resources to keep students and other community members informed about sexual assault and its prevention.  We hope that you find this site valuable.

April Is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  Please join us for the following events offered and supported by SAFER: 

Wednesdays in April :  SAFER Information Tables will be held on Hogan 1 from 11 am - 2 pm.

Thursday, April 14th:  "Flirting With Danger" screening (52 min) in Hogan 320, 7 pm - 9:30 pm.  In collaboration with Women's & Gender Studies. 

Wednesday, April 15th:  Women's Forum will host "Take Back the Night".  It will start in the basement of Hogan at 8 pm, and end at William's Social Space.

Wednesday, April 22nd: RPE will host a lobby table for "Teal Ribbon Campaign" on Hogan 1 from 11 am - 2 pm. 

Thursday, April 23rd:  RPE will host the viewing of "The Hunting Ground" (103 min) from 6:30 pm - 9 pm in Seelos Theater.  In collaboration with SAFER, Pathways for Change, and SGA Health & Safety.    Please see the RPE website for the movie trailer and additional details about the film. 

Sunday, April 26th:  Bystander Intervention Training will be held in Hogan 320 from 6 pm - 7 pm.  Please register here

Wednesday, April 29th:  Bystander Intervention Training will be held in Hogan 407 from 6 pm - 7 pm.  Please register here.

Wednesday, April 29th:  "Denim Day" (Sexual Voilence Prevention & Education Campaign).  All students, faculty, and staff members will again be invited to donate money in exchange for wearing jeans.  Please stop by our lobby table on Hogan 1 between 11 am - 2 pm.  All donations will be given in support of Daybreak.
